Free Paris: What’s Free This Week (Dec.5th-11th)

Check out our regularly updated calendar of free events happening in Paris.  Here are a few of the interesting free things happening this week.

Free This Week in Paris

Mark Geffriaud – Parallèles (through Dec. 11th): Free film exhibit exploring two different sites: the location of a future giant telescope in the Atacama desert and lake Titicaca, which runs between Bolivia and Peru.

Fashion (through Dec. 6th): Fashion fans will enjoy this exhibit that tributes the photographers behind the iconic photos of top fashion figures like Yves Saint Laurent, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.

Free Cooking Class at Paris Outdoor Market (Dec. 9th): Learn how to make a delicious French dish for free with ingredients from the local market. This free class is taught by a professional chef from the FFC (Fédération Française de Cuisine)! To participate, sign up for an upcoming class on the FFC site.

Freestyle La Villette (through Dec. 11th): Free event focused on different art forms based in street culture.

Henri Landier – Le Monde du Spectacle (through Dec. 9th): Free exhibit featuring the work of French painter Henri Landier. Discover 60 years of the artist’s creations as well as the portraits of famous artists Landier befriended during his life.

La révolution en images (through Dec. 10th): Free photo and films exhibit documenting the 1956 Hungarian revolution.

Borne to be Wilde (Dec. 9th): Free Oscar Wilde Event at the Petit Palais
Gábor Arion Kudász : Human (through Dec. 10th): Free photo exhibit at Institut Hongrois

 La Fête de la Saint Barbe at Invalides (Dec. 10th and 11th): Every year in December, the Musée de l’Armée hosts an event in honor of Sant Barbara ( Sainte-Barbe in French), the patron saint of artillerymen. This year’s event will include several free activities for the whole family.
